Architrave was born from experience, conviction, and a shared belief in the power of thoughtful collaboration. Its founders—Ar. Abu Sayed Mohammad Kamrul Islam Shatil, Eng. Jamil Ahmed, Eng. Shafiqur Rahman, and Eng. AKM Fazlur Rahman—are BUET graduates who began their professional journeys independently, each cultivating deep expertise within their respective disciplines. Through years of practice, they gained extensive hands-on experience across architecture, engineering, and the realities of building.
At a defining moment in their professional paths, these individual journeys converged under a single vision—forming ARCHITRAVE as a unified platform for integrated practice. What began as parallel careers evolved into a collective ambition: to establish a practice capable of addressing the built environment holistically, with clarity, discipline, and purpose.
Today, Architrave operates as a multidisciplinary venture spanning architectural consultancy, real estate development, construction, project management, and interior design. Our practice is supported by specialized teams across each design and technical sector, allowing us to approach projects with depth, coordination, and precision. United by shared values and diverse expertise, we work toward a singular goal—to transform experience into architecture that is intelligent, responsible, and enduring.

Abu Sayed Mohammad Kamrul Islam Shatil is a Bangladeshi architect and urban development professional, a graduate of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). With a strong academic foundation and over a decade of professional experience, we have been actively engaged in architectural design, planning, and project implementation across a wide range of residential, commercial, hospital, industrial and mixed-use developments in Bangladesh.
Since 2011, we have been leading our own architectural consultancy and land development firm, delivering integrated services that combine design excellence with practical development strategies. Our work reflects a commitment to contextual, sustainable, and client-focused solutions, balancing aesthetic quality with technical rigor and regulatory compliance. Through the practice, we have contributed to shaping built environments that respond thoughtfully to local culture, climate, and urban needs
In 2026, the objectives are defined by a commitment to blending regional heritage with global innovation to address the unique challenges of a rapidly urbanizing nation. Professionally, the primary goal is to advocate for contextual architecture, utilizing the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) standards to promote designs that are climatically responsive to the deltaic landscape. Architects aim to master sustainable practices, such as optimizing natural ventilation and daylighting, to reduce the energy dependency of high-density urban structures.
At the project level, the focus is on resilience and social impact. An architect in Bangladesh strives to create spaces that mitigate the effects of tropical climates and high population density while ensuring structural safety and strict adherence to the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC). Projects are designed with a dual objective: to achieve modern aesthetic excellence and to provide cost-effective, functional solutions that enhance the quality of life for the community. Md. Shafiqur Rahman (Shahin)

Md. Shafiqur Rahman (Shahin) is a civil Engineer, Shafiqur known as Shahin, graduate from BUET in 2004.He is a FIEB member of the institution of engineers, Bangladesh.
He is a permanent member of BUET Graduate Club. He is expert project construction, project management and quality control both civil structural and steel structural work. He also involves in ACCORD , Alliance related factory building consultancy and retrofitting work.
Professionally he worked with Real Estate companies, construction companies and prefabricated steel Companies. Meanwhile he also works in Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force. He construction of many residential and industrial Building. He also construction of Pre- Fabricated steel Factory, Commercial, Show room and service Centre Building. He is construction government, semi-government and private project
Jamil Ahmed Choudhury (Rizvi)
Bachelor in Science (Civil Engineering), BUET
Jamil Ahmed Choudhury (Rizvi), is a Civil Engineer with Master’s in Business Administration. Jamil, known as Rizvi, graduated from BUET in 2004 and completed his MBA in 2008. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) accredited by Bangladesh Professional Engineering Registration Board (BPERB). He also got enlisted in Rajdhani Unnayan Kortripokhkho (RAJUK), Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) and Khulna Development Authority (KDA) as highest categorized Structural Design Engineer. He is a professional trainer in BUET Training Academy and PWD Training Centre. Normally he conducts training on Project Management of Project managers.
Professionally he worked with reputed Real Estate Companies like Sheltech, Rangs & Rancon Properties, Bay Developments and Imagine Properties. Meanwhile he also worked with international companies like WOHA Architects Singapore in BRAC University and AJAY company in Epic Garments Hongkong and Envoy. He designed and managed at least 200 projects in Dhaka City. His highest structural design is 20 storied building in a 2 bigha land. And he managed at least 12 projects in Gulshan Avenue through different companies
